Social Media Management

Algorithms change. Good storytelling doesn't.

I've led social campaigns across a variety of industries and formats, from economic development and B2B sales to book and live event promotion. From content planning and creative production to paid campaigns and analytics, I'm comfortable managing every stage of the process.

Burning Tide Farewell Performance

Reviving a band's social presence in just seven weeks.

With less than two months before Burning Tide's final show, the goal was simple: reconnect with longtime fans, reach new audiences and drive ticket sales.

Burning Tide was a Kansas City-based Southern rock band that built a loyal following throughout the metro during the early 2010s. Known for energetic performances at local venues, festivals and biker rallies, the band became one of the region's most recognizable rock acts before stepping away from the stage in 2016.

Starting with a dormant Facebook page and no Instagram or TikTok presence, I developed and executed a multi-platform campaign that reignited fan engagement and drove attendance, from strategy through post-event coverage.

The Challenge

Promotion began February 19 for an April 11 event, leaving little time to rebuild the band's online presence and generate momentum.

The campaign required:

  • Reviving a long-dormant Facebook page
  • Launching Instagram and TikTok from scratch
  • Organizing years of scattered photos and video footage
  • Creating a consistent content strategy that balanced nostalgia, storytelling and ticket promotion

My Role: End-to-End Campaign Management

I planned, created and managed every aspect of the campaign, from graphic design of elements to deployment strategy.

Content Strategy

Every post had a job to do.

The campaign combined multiple content formats to maintain excitement throughout the seven-week promotion.

Existing footage and assets lived across multiple platforms and personal archives, requiring collection, editing and reformatting into cohesive, vertical-first videos for social media.

Content included:

  • Promotional videos
  • Throwback clips
  • Band member videos
  • Opening band spotlights
  • Countdown posts
  • Event reminders
  • Photo galleries
  • Text-based storytelling
  • Behind-the-scenes content

@burning.tide Our shredder extraordinaire. Connor looked at what was originally supposed to be a moody melodic band and said… what if you put whiskey in it? And Burning Tide was truly born. Paid Campaign

Small budget. Big impact.

Using a modest $100 Meta advertising budget, I developed and managed a campaign focused on maximizing ticket sales in the weeks leading up to the show.

Results

The campaign proved the power of strategic social media: it became the primary way fans discovered the event, reconnected with the band and ultimately purchased tickets.

What Worked

Story-driven content mix. Combining throwback footage, band member videos, graphics and countdown posts built connection with longtime fans while reaching new audiences.

Strategic content repurposing. Turning years of archived photos and videos into fresh, platform-specific content kept the campaign active despite a short timeline.

Organic + paid promotion. Storytelling built awareness while targeted ads helped convert interest into ticket sales.

Creating urgency. Countdown posts and final ticket pushes kept the event top of mind as show day approached.

What Could Have Brought it to the Next Level

Longer runway. More time would allow for additional audience building, testing and pre-sale promotion.

More new content. A dedicated content shoot would create more polished assets and expand creative options.

Additional conversion tracking. More robust tracking would provide deeper insight into what drove ticket purchases.
